Are the birds safe after a release?
Yes. Our birds are specially trained homing pigeons, not wild-caught birds. They are raised and cared for at our loft and return home safely after every release. We never release birds that are too young, untrained, or unable to fly long distances.
Will the birds fly away and disappear?
No. The birds are homing pigeons that instinctively return to their loft after being released. They have been trained to recognize their home from miles away.
What happens if the weather is bad?
For the safety of the birds, we may postpone or cancel a release if weather conditions are dangerous (heavy rain, storms, high winds, or extreme heat). We will work with you to reschedule or provide an alternative solution if this happens.
Can we handle or keep the birds after the ceremony?
No. The birds are not pets — they are highly trained homing pigeons. They may be held briefly for release under the supervision of our handler, but they must always be released outdoors to ensure they return home safely.
How many birds can be released?
We offer different release packages, from a single bird (often symbolizing the soul of a loved one) to groups of 6+ for weddings, memorials, or special events. We can help you choose the best option for your occasion.
How far do the do they travel?
Our birds are conditioned to return home from many miles away. However, for their safety, we only release them within a 50 mile radius of Hempstead, Texas.
Why white birds? What do they symbolize?
White doves are timeless symbols of peace, love, hope, and new beginnings. Their release creates a powerful, uplifting moment that brings beauty and meaning to weddings, memorials, and other life celebrations.
